If you purchased your device after December 2021 then you should be good to go - Ofcom banned locked phones after this date!
If you purchased your device from a mobile provider before December 2021, then it depends who you purchased it from:
If you purchased it from Three, then there’s no need to unlock your phone. We are powered by the Three network, so you can simply move your account or set up a new one!
If you're purchased it from any other network, then you might need to unlock your phone before joining. See how to check if your phone is unlocked below.
How to check if your device is locked:
Insert your new SIM into your device.
If it works, your device is unlocked.
If you're asked for a SIM Network Unlock PIN or see "SIM Not Supported" unfortunately it's locked! You'll need to contact your previous mobile provider to unlock your phone.
If you’re still unsure, it’s best to check with your previous provider.
🔔 Remember, unlocking is a one-time process; once done, you're free to use any network.
