Don't worry, this is a common issue after transferring your number. We've written a simple step-by-step guide that usually resolves the issue.
What to do:
Set date and time to auto:
Go to Settings > General > Date and Time. Ensure your phone is set to automatic time and date, and automatic time zone.
Reset iMessage:
Go to Settings > Messages and switch off iMessage. Then restart your phone.
When it’s back on check that your number is set correctly by going to Settings > Phone. Change it if it isn’t.
Lastly, turn iMessage back on by going to Settings > Messages again and toggling iMessage on.
Reset your Apple ID.
Head to Settings > Messages > Send and Receive. Tap your Apple ID email and select "Sign Out".
Restart your phone.
Sign back into your Apple ID. Then, head to Settings → Messages → Send and Receive and tap "Use your Apple ID for iMessage".
Check your carrier settings are updated:
Go to Settings > General > About. Stay on this screen for about 60 seconds.
If an update is available, you'll be prompted to install it.
